Dear Friends,
I’m writing to share with you a significant moment in my journey and in the life of Deo Gratias Ministries Detroit. I have stepped down from my role as Co-Director of Deo Gratias Ministries Detroit, with my last day of service on October 24, 2025. I will now be beginning a new ministry as Vocation Director for the Felician Sisters of North America.
This decision has not come easily. Deo Gratias Ministries has been my heart’s work since its founding. It has been a sacred privilege to walk alongside our guests, to serve with our incredible staff and volunteers, and to witness the transformative power of hospitality, compassion, and community every single day. I have truly seen the face of God in this ministry—in the joy of a shared meal, the courage of those pursuing their GED, and the unwavering faith and resilience of our guests.
As I begin this new role with my congregation, I carry with me all that Deo Gratias has taught me. I am deeply humbled to accompany those discerning their call to religious life, and I trust that the Franciscan spirit of joy and service that has shaped this ministry will continue to flourish.
I am also delighted to share that Mr. Bob Sadler has been appointed as our new Executive Director. Bob brings a deep commitment to our mission and more than 30 years of experience in community engagement and leadership. I have full confidence in his ability to guide Deo Gratias forward with compassion, creativity, and faith.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your ongoing support, prayers, and friendship over these many years. Please keep me in your prayers during this time of transition, as I will surely keep you in mine.
With deep gratitude,
Sister Felicity Marie Madigan
Former Co-Director
Deo Gratias Ministries Detroit
